The Garlic Guru, Teresa Giesbrecht, continues her drive to deliver healthy, delicious food for everyone.Noting the absence of concerted effort to enhance the food pleasure of people who are gluten-intolerant, Teresa organized Saskatoon’s first Gluten-Free Food Fair.
Teresa took the opportunity to work with some of the Garlic Guru’s wonderful neighbours at the Saskatoon Farmers Market to also raise money and awareness for the Canadian Diabetes Association and the Canadian Celiac Association. Continue reading »
Those who know me, Glenn Caleval, know that I had always had difficulty with the concept of having meals before five in the afternoon. The arcane ritual of “lets-have-lunch” remained mysterious and disturbing. Only at rare times during my adult life have I been able to consume “lunch” or any meal before the afternoon was ending.
But something shocking has happened.
I attended the Grand Opening of the Garlic Guru in the Farmers Market because it was started by someone I know. I purchased a quart each of the Spicy Pumpkin, the potato and sun dried tomato soups. Continue reading »
